Some NC's exhibit a vagueness in the 1st/reverse selection (See full story HERE) and in extreme cases the reverse lockout no longer works due to the metal MX5 gear lever rubbing against the nylon of the base-plate. The good news is that the baseplate can be replaced and this can be done with the gearbox in situ.
